11 Things on Sale You’ll Actually Want to Buy: From Cat & Jack to Oribe

Though we’ve got our eye on October Prime Day next week, today is all about Target — specifically Circle Week, where there are thousands of items up to 40 percent off through October 7. You have to be a Target Circle Member, but unlike Amazon Prime, it’s completely free to join; they just need your email. And I’ve pulled a few can’t-miss deals like kids’ toys, Halloween costumes, the carpet steam cleaner beloved by Strategist readers, and an affordable silk pillowcase. Plus there are so many hair-care sales happening right now, including Dermstore, Oribe, and Ulta (though most of those are time sensitive, so don’t dillydally).

Kicking off the deals at Target is this inexpensive silk pillowcase (which I received as a Christmas present last year). It prevents my hair from getting frizzy (even if I fall asleep with damp hair), and the material is less slick-feeling than other silk pillowcases I’ve tried.

You’ve probably seen the Little Green steam cleaner on TikTok — and this one is the super-size version with even more suction power and a larger-capacity tank.

Hundreds of books are on sale, including Ann Patchett’s latest novel, which our friends over at Vulture called “swoon-worthy.”

Here’s an adorable pajama set that won’t look too Halloween-y once October ends.

A lot of toys are on sale, like this sensory-friendly slime-making kit.

Select hair-care products are up to 30 percent off at Dermstore with the code HAIR — including our favorite dry shampoo from French pharmacy stable Klorane. It soaks up excess oil, adds an overall softness to your strands, and has a pleasant — not overpowering —scent.

Olaplex’s products are recommended to us so often that you’d be hard-pressed to find a best-in-class guide without one of their hair treatments. The brand’s sulfate-free shampoo, which is our top pick for color-treated hair, is a frequent top seller among Strategist readers (and 20 percent off is about as good a deal as you’ll get on it).

Ulta’s also got a hair event going on — literally called the Gorgeous Hair event. One of today’s deals is this dermatologist-designed and cruelty-free shampoo that our former deals writer Leah Muncy says fixed her hairline acne.

Everything at Oribe is 20 percent off through October 9, no code needed. The brand makes one of our favorite shampoos for fine hair. Samantha Musco, founder of Beautébar
, says, “It creates weightless moisture while plumping the hair shaft to create a voluminous appearance.”

Grande’s well-reviewed brow serum helps brows look bigger and bolder in about six to eight weeks. It’s 30 percent off at Amazon, Sephora, Ulta, and Grande Cosmetics until tomorrow night.

The Strategist is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Some of our latest conquests include the best acne treatments, rolling luggage, pillows for side sleepers, natural anxiety remedies, and bath towels. We update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
